After spending years in an inherited office space, Carlson Caspers decided they needed space that more accurately reflected their brand and style of work. Choosing two floors ten floors up within the same building, they asked for a space that was modern, yet elegant and timeless, that embraced a 360 degree view of the city. While private offices, necessary for confidentiality, would ring the perimeter, the subtle yet powerful design eliminates offices at the end of each corridor, bringing in city views and light, providing a sense of place and orientation. Playing off the perimeter windows, a ribbon of oak wall panels forms an interior edge which both defines and warms the space. Complimentary to this perimeter, white and creamy marble surfaces reflect and bounce light, color and the surrounding cityscape into the interior core, creating a luminous central volume.
